7u - lUTZ & 8u - lUTZ: jOHN lUTZ

Coach John Lutz, our program director, will be leading both the 7U and 8U teams for the 2023 season. Lutz was drafted right out of Thomas More High School in 1983 by the Kansas City Royals. After three years at the professional level, Coach Lutz returned home to Milwaukee, WI, where he continued to play. Coach Lutz played in multiple area-leagues, one of which his team captured 13 league championships along with division titles and grand championships. In 2009, Coach Lutz was inducted to the Old Time Ball Players Association Wisconsin Baseball Hall of Fame, alongside his father and some of the best baseball players, coaches and pioneers of America’s Pastime from the Badger State. Following his playing career, Coach Lutz, turned his passion into developing and coaching Milwaukee’s youth full time. He has been fortunate to coach so many players but most meaningful, his son, Jack, who continues to share the same love and passion for the great sport of baseball. Coach Lutz is looking forward to the opportunity to develop our youngest two teams and build the foundation for further success within the organization in the years to come.

9u - eBERT: ERIC EBERT

Coach Eric Ebert has served as a coach for the Milwaukee Angels for the past seven years. When Eric isn’t at the facility or on the field, he works as an educator in the area and has coached multiple sports at both the youth and high school levels for over 15 years. Eric works hard to help players better understand the game through multiple positions and regular hitting drills and practice. Most importantly, Eric’s goal is for players to develop positive work habits, learn the qualities of being a great teammate, and develop a love for the game of baseball through a structured and competitive team experience.

9u - jACOBSON: mIKE JACOBSON

Born and raised in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Coach Mike Jacobson will be a head coach this season for one of our 9U teams after assisting at multiple levels in the past few years. Jacobson has previously been an assistant coach at both Oak Creek High School and with UW-Whitewater. Mike was a part of many successful teams including multiple high-school state championships and a NCAA National Championship at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After college he signed with the Kalamazoo Kings as a pitcher. As both a position player and pitcher, Mike knows all about the game. While he spends most of his time coaching the next generation about the game, you can still find Mike playing the game himself. He hopes to “develop well-rounded baseball players that enjoy playing the game as much as I enjoy coaching them.”

Coach Kehoss' knowledge of the game and ability to teach are what sets him apart from most.
